Frequently Asked Questions How many mounts per year are your Trucut machines capable of cutting? Well obviously this depends upon the average size of the mounts and/or the complexity being cut. But on average we would expect our Elan and Excel ranges to cut up to half a million mounts per year and our Alpha range machines up to a million plus. How long is your warranty? Our machines are warranted for twelve months, parts and labour, excepting fair wear and tear and/or misuse. This warranty is an unconditional twelve months and not limited by the quantity of mounts/mats cut. How long do the blades last? The easiest way of answering this is to say that they last perhaps 10% longer than you yourself would expect a blade used with a manual cutter to last. The slight improvement is due to the even and consistent pressure that our Trucut machines apply with the blade when cutting. Can the Trucut machines cut Vee-Grooves in the same pass as the main cutting? Yes! Single bladed Elans can cut bevel cut-outs, vee-grooves and bevel outers in the same pass. Excel and Alpha machines can cut bevel cut-outs, vee-grooves and vertical outers in the same pass. Up to three vee grooves can be cut and these may follow the opening shape or be just a standard rectangular or elliptical path. In addition it is possible to cut just vee-grooves or one open vee-groove associated with an opening. Owning a Trucut is a more profitable experience. |
