Trucut New Multi-use Head

Three recent developments provide new and existing users with the possibility of using a Trucut mount cutter to:

    • make boxes
    • indent designs into mounts and
    • score glass for breaking out.

By the addition of some clever switching and controlling of the vertical head on a double-bladed machine any or all of the above three options can be added to a double-bladed machine before or after purchase.

For any of these options the vertical head has to be our multi-use head .

The ‘E’ option comprises an indenting tool cartridge that replaces the vertical blade cartridge when you want to do indenting. Indenting patterns can be closed or open loops so decorative borders to mounts are a possibility as are an artist’s signature or a picture title.

The ‘C’ option comprises a creasing wheel cartridge that replaces the vertical blade cartridge when you want to crease board. The creasing option includes our box designing software and the designs for several popular boxes. All boxes can be specified to the size you require (so long as this fits on the maximum board size) and we recommend the use of one of the excellent micro-flute boards for this type of work.
Creasing wheels of different sizes can be supplied for different board applications.

The ‘G’ option comprises a glass cutting wheel cartridge that replaces the vertical cartridge when you want to cut glass. The glass option includes our basic glass cutting software but we can also supply fully functional glass-optimisation software if necessary. The ‘G’ option is not meant to replace our Gazelle full production glass cutting tables but is meant to give the general framer the ability to cut glass as well as mounts in the context of the production criteria of such a framing business.

Similar options are available for the Trophy. However the Trophy provides the additional benefit of allowing any two heads to be fitted. This enables easier one-pass box making for example.
